7thAndZ PlayStation3 (PS3) Log 001 - Double Dragon Neon (Update-001)

One of the best games during my grade school years. A hack and slash game which was remade or a remake. I remembered how hard it was that you should be able to finish the game before loosing your life or else you are going to start the game from the start.

The Double Dragon Neon a compilation of all Double Dragon games before and made 1 whole story. Of-course the Neon version is not as hard as the original DD games before. The challenging part is collecting all the trophies to level up my PSN level.

It only took me the whole afternoon or 4 hours tops to finish the entire game. but still I'm not yet done with the trophies.

Kirbys Adventure (Super Famicom) Review

Today I will be doing a retro game review. Kirby has been a very popular game character up until now and probably next to Mario. Almost every Kirby game I played has been fun and full of adventure. So i decided to go back 20 years where Kirby has provided tons of adventure during its early year. I felt nostalgic as the pixelated game of the 90's never stop me from enjoying the game.

PLOT:

The game starts with Kirby taking a nap, but something is wrong. Kirby has had no dreams, a truly unusual event in Dream Land. Kirby decides to visit the Fountain of Dreams, where all dreams spring from, to see if anything bad has happened to it. Upon his arrival, he finds King Dedede bathing in its waters. He finds that Dedede has broken the Star Rod, the power source of the fountain, into seven pieces, giving six pieces to his friends and keeping one himself. Kirby decides to track down the fragments to restore peaceful sleep and order to Dream Land. 

Kirby gets harassed by enemies and the Meta-Knights along the way, but manages find to defeat King Dedede at the Fountain of Dreams and promptly replaces the Star Rod at its top, but Nightmare appears right after. Nightmare absorbs the powers from the Fountain and flies into the sky. King Dedede inhales Kirby and sends him after Nightmare, where they battle on Pop Star's moon. Kirby manages to defeat Nightmare, and the explosion ends up making a large circular hole in the moon, making it crescent-shaped. Kirby returns to the Fountain of Dreams and places the Star Rod back in there, and everything returns to normal with the dreams back in Dream Land. Dedede's prior actions were then revealed to be part of his plan to protect the Fountain from Nightmare, and Kirby and Dedede reconcile. 

The game consists of seven worlds, which all have a boss. Each boss has one piece of the Star Rod.

Game play is much the same as the Kirby games we play today which uses the copy ability which allows Kirby to suck in enemies and using their abilities to Kirbys advantage which includes 26 abilities that Kirby can use. One of my personal favorites is the "Sword Ability". Well you can blame me I love HACK and SLASH types ^_^.

What i also loved about this game is the mini-games or sub-games which allows you to play different games that gives you Lives or additional points. I may not seem as challenging like the Kirby games today but during the 90's this was one great and epic game for me and worth playing again.

My verdict:
This game is definitely one of the greatest games every made for Super Famicom. This game is for everyone young and old and worth buying if ever they will do a remake or remaster this game. I definitely advice this game to everyone and is worth playing again even after 2 decades this games has been released.

Gamer: Andy "7thAndZ" Bass. 25 Years of Gaming

It has been almost 25 years since I played my first ever video games. Yes. I have been a gamer for almost 25 years already and ever since I laid my hands on my first Super FamiCom game namely Circus Charlie I was already attached to the world of gaming. I could not count how many games I've played. I was able to use consoles such as Family Computer, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Sony PSone and PS2, also hand held games such as GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, Sony PSP lite, Nintendo DS Lite. I have also be actively participating in MMORPG games since 2004 with my First ever online game MU Online, since then i have played online games like Ragnarok Ph, Gunbound Ph, Rose online Ph, O2 Jam Ph, Bandmaster Ph, Tantra Ph, Cabal Ph and many more that even I can't remember and Emulated Arcade Games.

These games have shaped me for who I am and where I am right now. Yes, these games helped me a lot with how I look at things in perspective, improved my grammar, widened my imagination, how I make choices and gave me the confidence that I could achieve many things if I really put my mind into it.

As I commemorate my 25 years in gaming this July 28, 2013 i will try to recall all the games i played and the achievements I have obtained over the years. I am still planning to buy Nintendo 3DS and Sony PS3. I may not be as blessed as other gamers but I know I am a true blooded Gamer. I may not be able to list down all of it but I am sure that all information I will be posting is 100% true and authentic.
