Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on PSP (Review)

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was one of the most awaited movies for 2009 and so we as gamers also expected it be one kick ass game. I had the chance to play this game on my PSP when it came out and expected so much cool and rockin' stuff since i know what PSP is capable of doing when it comes to hand held gaming.

Gameplay preview:

First is
I'm going to talk about the good parts
  1. Well in this game you'll get the chance to play as Autobots and Decepticons.
  2. You have 25 mission to play with.
  3. Your able to get upgrades and unlock secrets
  4. Each has its own special move.
  5. You can play co-op mode with your friends or battle with them.
So that's the few things I've noticed that's good in this game. Now here comes the not so good things I've noticed with the game:
  1. Unlike the past Transformers game you don't transform as much as you wish to and all you do is shoot your way in every mission.
  2. Graphics is bad. So pixelated.
  3. Control is not so good.
  4. No footsteps.
  5. You only get to see their vehicle mode for a few second where you do special attacks.
  6. You'll see fun stuff like exploding trees and concrete
  7. No driving around as vehicles and definitely no flying.
Transformers fanatic will definitely love this game, but for the rest it wont be as cool and nice if you get to see the PC and PlayStation 3 game play of this game.

In my own opinion they could have done better, they could have made missions where you need to transform as a vehicle or maybe a mission where you need to punch your way through with brute strength. What happened here is it just felt like R-type or Gradius games wherein the difference is robots are shooting this time. It felt like more on just shooting your way through. It gets boring the longer you play it and nothing much exciting.

My rating (out if 10) :
Graphics: 6
Gameplay: 6
Lifespan: 5
Excitement Factor: 5
Overall: 5.5

My verdict:
Is just an average game. Not so Bad and not that great. But i believe they could have done better.

Super funny and absent minded customer with a very stupid question

A lady came in our cafe and i knew she was new so i expected here to inquire, and so she did and asked me this question

"Ang one hour ay isang oras nho?"

Wow!!! It had me thinking for 10 seconds and i was not able to reply at that time duration. It seems my brain could no process the information with such smart question. My mind froze as if i could not understand the question.

Suddenly i realized what the answer was and said "YES" - in a very very low voice.

What the!!! Of all the questions to ask, then after i answered her she just went out came back and said: "30 min lang" Sheeesh. Oh well.

A very odd, weird and ironic morning... and i mean very!

Woke up past 10 a.m. (that's normal), this ain't the odd part. Prayed, Got up, took a bath and found myself ending up making a PowerPoint presentation for my dads message for the Church this coming Sunday. So i felt happy in someway that i was able to start my day right with something related with God.

Here comes the weird and i mean very weird and super creepy weird part. While i was making my dads PowerPoint a gay customer came in and wanted to print some pics. Not just any pics. But pictures of him half naked or should i say almost completely naked.

Funny how Satan tries to break your concentration in doing God's stuff. I really found it supper ironic. Well surely he didn't break any of my concentration but i lost my appetite since i still got to see the pics because i do the printing stuff.

Darn i dont feel like eating breakfast and lunch.

A quick visit at Tantra Online PH... at 1:00 a.m.

It has been a long time since i last played this game, since my customers at the cafe told me there were new stuff to look forward to so i decided to check on it. They said there were new charms for sale. Well i was a bit excited to look what they looked like and what they could do. At first it looked cool, but when i placed the mouse pointer over the charms this is what i got

Nice to look at but sucks. They want me to spend 25 million on a item that last only for 4 hours. Well I helps but come on!!! 25 million??? So while i was ranting about this i bumped in to one of my close friend in tantra. Man2x aka Drucilla

A
fter a while someone PM/Whispered at my Character that there were tons of enemy in Kruma or lets say a War is going on. Decided to take a peek and have some little fun and ended up like this.

That's me alone and with no party and ending up facing all of them.

After dying a few more times and was able to find partymates i decided to stop. But, i bumped into some guys or shall we say people who take the pleasure in killing my character and vice-versa for me because its always fun to look at their characters die at the strike of my over sized axe so I suddenly felt the rush inside me to take on the rivalry i had with these guys way back when i was so active in this game and ended up with this:

I was still able to get back at them even if don't play much now. But overall its just a game and it was able to serve it's purpose to entertain the people playing this game.

I only played for 15 min. and i was able to check out the charms which i thought was overpriced, able to talk with a buddy, was killed many times by my rivals at war and also killed some of them. My 15 min. was fun and alright.

I hope next time i take a peep on Tantra PH ill run into something more fun and exciting. Till next time. ^_^

Play PSP games from your PC

I was about to download some stuff when i bumped into this from pspslimhack.com.

PC PSP Emulator: JPCSP v0.2 Revision 1078

The Team – creators of the PC Based Java PSP Emulator have released an update. This latest build has added basic GE capture support and more bug fixes.

v0.2 Revision 1078 changelog:

  • Added basic GE capture support, tested on cube sample.
Until we record persistent GE state (texture on/off, etc) for best results
replay captures in the same game it was recorded in.
  • Fixed a refresh bug.
Open menu trick should no longer be needed (click on File menu, it overlaps the
display area and forces it to redraw, sometimes making something appear).
  • Fixed wait UMD stat

Well if this is true then what a joy for those who can't afford to buy PSP. But bad for Sony since less would opt to buy a PSP console. Still i think there is a downside to this type of emulator or playing PSP games from PCs:

  1. It ain't portable. Unlike PSP consoles u can't play anywhere and anytime you wan't
  2. If your computer specs doesn't meet the requirements of the emulator u won't enjoy playing psp or the emulator might not run at all.
Haven't tested it yet. But even if i have my own PSP ill try the emulator so that i can really compare it well. To all PSP peeps who cant afford to buy PSP here's your chance. ^_^
