Gamer: Andy "7thAndZ" Bass. 25 Years of Gaming

It has been almost 25 years since I played my first ever video games. Yes. I have been a gamer for almost 25 years already and ever since I laid my hands on my first Super FamiCom game namely Circus Charlie I was already attached to the world of gaming. I could not count how many games I've played. I was able to use consoles such as Family Computer, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Sony PSone and PS2, also hand held games such as GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, Sony PSP lite, Nintendo DS Lite. I have also be actively participating in MMORPG games since 2004 with my First ever online game MU Online, since then i have played online games like Ragnarok Ph, Gunbound Ph, Rose online Ph, O2 Jam Ph, Bandmaster Ph, Tantra Ph, Cabal Ph and many more that even I can't remember and Emulated Arcade Games.

These games have shaped me for who I am and where I am right now. Yes, these games helped me a lot with how I look at things in perspective, improved my grammar, widened my imagination, how I make choices and gave me the confidence that I could achieve many things if I really put my mind into it.

As I commemorate my 25 years in gaming this July 28, 2013 i will try to recall all the games i played and the achievements I have obtained over the years. I am still planning to buy Nintendo 3DS and Sony PS3. I may not be as blessed as other gamers but I know I am a true blooded Gamer. I may not be able to list down all of it but I am sure that all information I will be posting is 100% true and authentic.

Play 5.55 Firmware games on your PSP 3000

Yes you heard it right. You can now play Firmware 5.55 or even 6 on your PSP 3000. I got this info at pspslimhack.com i hope this would be helpfull. I was able to test it and was able to play 5.55 Firmware games on my PSP 3000.

PSP Game Decrypter in the works: Play 5.55 Firmware games on 5.50 GEN + 5.03 GEN-A.

Its out!, Download is below. You’ll Also need UMDGEN 4 for this, you can google it and im sure you can find it. Decrypts both Firmware 5.55 games and firmware 6.00 games. But not all of them work due to some headers on the prx files.

Release text and how to:

..:::Yoshihiro’s 5.55 & 6.00 games decrypter:::..

hi guyz this tool is here for let you use your original game backup
on CFW 5.50 gen B-2 .

how i can use this tool ?
1 :lets go first you need to install the GameZDecryptZ folder in your X:PSP/GAME folder
2 : put your EBOOT.BIN extracted from UMDGEN PSP_GAME/SYSDIR and put it on root of your memory stick
3 : now you can boot game decrypter now you can press X 5 seconds later it’s done :)
4 : connect your usb cable check on root of your memory stick you have a new folder called decryptor
5 : copy the eboot.bin from the decryptor folder inside umdgen and rebuild your iso

Voilà

Enjoy it Yoshihiro :)

PS : not all games working because some games use some fact header on prx files

09/29/09

PSP developer Yoshihiro and the team is working on a PSP Eboot / Game decrypter, that will patch 5.55 firmware games to work on ChickHEN enabled PSP-3000’s running Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A and also PSP-1000’s and PSP-2000’s on to B2.

But what we can gather it will be used in conjunction with UMDGen 4, so experience of UMDGEN is required.

Yes, to all you PSP-3000 users. Its for the PSP-3000 too. No need to keep asking for a solution as it’s coming!. But for those of you that can run ChickHEN R2 & CFW 5.03 GEN-A and haven’t upgraded past firmware 5.03.

If you have Firmware 5.50 on your PSP-3000 your out of luck I’m afraid.

Additional Walkthrough:

1. Install 5.55 & 6.00 Games Decrypter like any other homebrew.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

The long wait is over. Finally my most expected game is now here. Ive always thought of putting all together all the Final Fantasy Heroes and villains in one game but I've never expected it to be so cool and more fun than ever. Squall, Tidus and Cloud my top 3 favorite FF players are all together and not to mention the wonderful game play and graphics. And the plot of the story is simply amazing!

Plot:
In Dissidia, there are two gods - Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony, and Chaos, the God of Discord. Creating a realm from pieces of other worlds, the two gods each selected ten champions to waged war for eons in a unending cycle of rebirth until the balance of power tipped in favor of Chaos. As the forces of evil grow stronger and the war seems to near its end, the few surviving heroes have banded together to strike back at Chaos' minions and restore harmony. [7]

Each of the ten heroes has a interlinking storyline, named as a "Destiny Odyssey," following their journey to recover their respective Crystal. Each Destiny Odyssey also parallels, to a certain extent, the events, or at least the spirit, of the storyline in the hero's original game - Terra's story for example, deals with her amnesia and her waning control over her powers, while Cloud's story concerns his indecisiveness and questioning his reason for fighting. The stories also overlap a great deal, with several heroes playing major roles in other heroes' Destiny Odysseys - for example, Cloud assists Terra in her storyline. One by one, the heroes each retrieve their Crystal and defeat their respective villain in battle.

After defeating their enemies, the heroes return to Cosmos, but Chaos appears and incinerates the goddess, later revealed to have transfered her power into the crystals. With Cosmos gone, her power over the heroes fades and they begin to fade back to their own worlds. However, with the last of her strength inside them, the Crystals are able to keep the heroes from fading and keep them safe, giving them enough time to strike back at Chaos and restore order. But as they battle their way to him, Garland is revealed to set up the conditions of Cosmos and Chaos, who now is in a state of continious suffering and intending to destroy everything. Once the warriors defeat Chaos, they end up at Gaia where each warrior takes his or her leave to her home while the Warrior of Light remains. Back in the world she and Chaos created, Cosmos emerges as its ruler as she and Cid ponder on what the future may hold. -wikipedia-

The first time I felt when I finally got to play was being a child way back when I was so excited when Final Fantasy 8 first came out. I had goosebumps and I could never resist watching the CG Movie over and over again as I was staring at my PSP. Looking at my favorite characters together with their arch enemies I felt a rush inside me as I was really getting hyped on how the game would go and how each story of each character would end. Well, what more could I expect from SquareEnix but the best. It was already 5 a.m. and still I could not stop playing, until my batteries run out (bummer!).

Gameplay is EXCELLENT!!! and i could not wait to wake up again and grab hold of my PSP. Want to know why i cant stop playing Dissidia Final Fantasy? Here's why:

My rating (out of 10) :

Graphics: 10
Gameplay: 10
Lifespan: 10
Excitement Factor: 10
Overall: 10

My verdict:
What more can a Final Fantasy Fan could ask for. With Super great graphis, super cool moves and a very excellent story. A must even for non Final Fantasy Fans.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on PSP (Review)

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was one of the most awaited movies for 2009 and so we as gamers also expected it be one kick ass game. I had the chance to play this game on my PSP when it came out and expected so much cool and rockin' stuff since i know what PSP is capable of doing when it comes to hand held gaming.

Gameplay preview:

First is
I'm going to talk about the good parts
  1. Well in this game you'll get the chance to play as Autobots and Decepticons.
  2. You have 25 mission to play with.
  3. Your able to get upgrades and unlock secrets
  4. Each has its own special move.
  5. You can play co-op mode with your friends or battle with them.
So that's the few things I've noticed that's good in this game. Now here comes the not so good things I've noticed with the game:
  1. Unlike the past Transformers game you don't transform as much as you wish to and all you do is shoot your way in every mission.
  2. Graphics is bad. So pixelated.
  3. Control is not so good.
  4. No footsteps.
  5. You only get to see their vehicle mode for a few second where you do special attacks.
  6. You'll see fun stuff like exploding trees and concrete
  7. No driving around as vehicles and definitely no flying.
Transformers fanatic will definitely love this game, but for the rest it wont be as cool and nice if you get to see the PC and PlayStation 3 game play of this game.

In my own opinion they could have done better, they could have made missions where you need to transform as a vehicle or maybe a mission where you need to punch your way through with brute strength. What happened here is it just felt like R-type or Gradius games wherein the difference is robots are shooting this time. It felt like more on just shooting your way through. It gets boring the longer you play it and nothing much exciting.

My rating (out if 10) :
Graphics: 6
Gameplay: 6
Lifespan: 5
Excitement Factor: 5
Overall: 5.5

My verdict:
Is just an average game. Not so Bad and not that great. But i believe they could have done better.

Well if this is true then what a joy for those who can't afford to buy PSP. But bad for Sony since less would opt to buy a PSP console. Still i think there is a downside to this type of emulator or playing PSP games from PCs:

  1. It ain't portable. Unlike PSP consoles u can't play anywhere and anytime you wan't
  2. If your computer specs doesn't meet the requirements of the emulator u won't enjoy playing psp or the emulator might not run at all.
Haven't tested it yet. But even if i have my own PSP ill try the emulator so that i can really compare it well. To all PSP peeps who cant afford to buy PSP here's your chance. ^_^
